Lemon gets costlier, check out vegetable prices at Chennai's Koyambedu market on Apr 6

CHENNAI: Prices of vegetables at the Koyambedu wholesale market saw moderate fluctuations on April 6, with some items witnessing a drop while others saw an increase.
Lemon, which was priced at Rs 50/kg on April 1, increased to Rs 80/kg on Sunday.
Price of raw mangoes had remained steady at Rs 40 for the past few days. But it fell by Rs 10 today, and was sold at Rs 30/kg. According to traders at the market, Ooty carrots were being sold at Rs 45/kg on Sunday, which is a slight dip from Rs 50 on April 1.
Drumstick price has been fluctuating over the past few days – from Rs 20 on April 1 to Rs 25 on Sunday. Prices of staple vegetables such as onions and tomatoes have shown little change in recent days. Tomatoes have remained steady at Rs 26, but onion price increased to Rs 25/kg.
