Air Arabia flight to Abu Dhabi cancelled after technical glitch, 180 passengers stranded at Chennai Airport

CHENNAI: A technical snag cancelled the Chennai-Abu Dhabi flight on Tuesday. Air Arabia flight to Saudi Arabia was scheduled to take-off from Chennai with 180 passengers on Tuesday morning, when the pilot noticed a technical snag and alerted the ATC.
Passengers were informed that the take-off was postponed to 7 am, and asked to stay inside the aircraft. As the fault could not be rectified around 7.30 am, they were made to stay in the waiting hall.
It was announced that the flight would depart at 9 am, but even after 9.30 am, there were no signs of take-off. Soon, passengers started to argue with the staff at the airline counter, after which, the flight was cancelled.
Passengers were made to stay in various hotels and the flight is expected to depart on Wednesday morning.
