    The total contributions from various agencies received by the State government today was Rs 12.31 crore. With the contributions collected, the total fund collected stood at Rs 111.8 crore, an official release said. Private sector Karur Vysya Bank’s Managing Director K Venkatraman gave Rs 3 crore, including a day’s salary of the bank’s employees, to Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat here. 

    Contributions to the tune of Rs 12 crore was donated by various corporates to the CM’s relief fund

    Several corporate groups donated funds towards the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund for the re-habilitation of flood victims.

    The contributions are as follows: Rs. 6 lakh was donated by R Muthu kumar on behalf of Makkal Kural and Trinity Mirror dailies; Rs.25 lakh by Ananda Padmanaban, MD, NAC Jewellers; KVB donated Rs. 3 crore; Rs. 3 crore by MAMR Muthaiah (Aiyappan), MD, Chettinad cement Corporation Ltd; Rs. 2 crore by Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu MD and Chairman of Lakshmi Machine works Limited, Coimbatore; Rs.1 crore on behalf of Shakthi Masala private limited by its MD PC Duraisamy and Director Shanthi; Rs.1 crore by Directors of GRT Jewellers GR Anandapadmanaban and GR Radhakrishnan; Rs.1 crore by President Mr. Guillaume Sicard, Nissan India Operations; Rs.1 crore by L Gopalakrishnan, PS Govindasamy Naidu and sons
