    Chennai

    A bank employee was robbed at knife point by four masked men near Pallavaram railway station on Sunday night. Police said John (28), a resident of Kurinji Nagar, Pallavaram was on his way back home when the incident happened. 

    John got down at Pallavaram Railway station and was walking by the side of the rail when four masked men accosted him and snatched his one and a half sovereign gold chain, Rs 500 from his purse and his ATM cards. The gang also assaulted John and escaped from the spot. 

    Police said John, works with a private bank and also has been pursuing MBA through distance education. Police said John participated in a workshop at Loyola College and took a train from Nungambakkam to Pallavaram. Tambaram railway police have registered a case.
