Clear DMK’s complaint by April 19, EC told
While maintaining that political parties should not resort to approaching the court for all short comings pertaining to elections, the first bench directed Election Commission to check out the software DMK has come up with to filter bogus voters.

Chennai
The Madras High Court has directed the Election Commission to sort out allegations raised by DMK in the creation of voters’ list and report compliance by April 19.
The first bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and MM Sundresan, while hearing the counsel of both DMK and the Election Commission, said the Election Commission is the authority for holding the elections and hence all issues have to be sorted out by it.
Insisting that the political parties should not resort to approaching the court for all short comings pertaining to elections, the Chief Justice observed that the Election Commission is bound to resolve their issues.
The Chief Justice recording the submission of DMK’S counsel P Wilson that they are in possession of a software that could help filter bogus voters, the Chief Justice asked the Election Commission to check out the software.
Wilson had contended that the software in possession with Election Commission is confined only to checking out zones in the sense that if a voter registered in Zone A had duplicated his name in Zone B, the Election Commission software can’t figure that out. But the software with DMK will spell out all duplication in all 234 constituencies.
