Upset woman kills self, child by jumping into well

According to the police, Jhansi, daughter of Dharma Rao (50) of Bharatiyar Avenue, Injambakkam, a security guard at the residence of a leading businessman, went missing from Wednesday afternoon. Later, a relative, who was searching for the woman, found the bodies of both the mother and the child in a well in the same locality. Police retrieved the bodies and sent them for post mortem.

Jhansi, who was married to one Eshwar of Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh in 2010, had returned to her parents’ house in Injambakkam four months ago, following a dispute with her husband. Subsequently, Eshwar came to Chennai three days back, after booking a return ticket for his wife and child and persuaded Jhansi to go back with him. But, the woman was reportedly not in a mood to go with Eshwar.

Meanwhile, Jhansi and the child went missing from their house. Later their bodies were found in a well in the same area.
