15 Chennai flood heroes honoured with Pride Awards
The Reserv.Place Pride Awards were presented to 15 residents from the city for taking up relief and rescue operations during the floods.

The awards were presented by The Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore. The winners were selected based on nominations and voting by the public. Over 90 nominations were received for the award and 13,246 votes were polled in 10 days, said an official release.
The evening also witnessed a musical extravaganza called The Rendezvous with yesteryear Bollywood superstars Sharmila Tagore, Helen, Kabir Bedi and a host of other popular musicians. Helen, the quintessential diva reminisced her most famous performances as videos of her songs and scenes from movies played in the background. Kabir Bedi, who played the perfect host, also engaged the veteran actresses in a candid conversation.
The proceeds of the event hosted by Reserv.Place, a hall/venue booking startup based out of Chennai, were donated to the Loyola College flood relief fund by CEO, Sudhakar Raja, who presented the cheque to the Principal of Loyola College Rev. Dr G Joseph Antony Samy.
