In connection with the suspicious death of three girl students of SVS College in Villupuram, its correspondent was granted bail on Tuesday

Chennai
The Madras High Court on Tuesday granted bail to Vasuki, correspondent of SVS Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga who was arrested in connection with the suspicious death of three girl students of the institution.
Justice K Kalyanasundaram granted conditional bail to Vasuki as well as the college principal Kalanidhi as per usual bail conditions. Earlier, the court had granted bail to the other two accused, Swagar Varma, son of Vasuki, and car driver Peru Venkatesan.
The court directed the duo to appear before the investigating officer twice a day at 10 am and 5 pm till further orders.
On January 23, three girl students of SVS Medical College of Yoga and Naturopathy were found dead in a well under suspicious circumstances. They had allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well owing to harassment by the management demanding ‘exorbitant’ fees.
It may be noted that on January 27, the High Court allowed a fresh autopsy of one of the girls based on a request by her father who had sought a CB-CID inquiry and a fresh post-mortem in a state-run hospital in Chennai.
