Women icons to be honoured

Aravind Jayabal, Founder and Creative Head of Raindrops, said, “We take great pleasure in honouring outstanding women achievers from various backgrounds every year in connection with International Women’s Day celebrations.” 

With music director AR Raihanah as its brand ambassador, it is a youth-based social organisation that concentrates mainly on delivering social awareness messages to the public in the form of short movies and theme songs through entertainment and media. 

Meenakshi Vijayakumar (first Indian women fire officer), Wing Commander Puja Thakur (first woman officer to led Guard of Honour for US President), Rupa Devi (first woman football referee FIFA), Sudha Raghunathan (Music), Laxmi Agarwal (acid attack fighter) and Sudha Kongara (film director) are among those who will be honoured.
