JEE-Main results declared
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the results for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main on Wednesday evening.

About 12 lakh students across the country, including over 6,000 from Tamil Nadu took the test earlier this month. The paper-based offline test was conducted on April 3 whereas online test took place on April 9 and 10. Students from Tamil Nadu took the test from exam centres in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai. JEE (main) is used as an admission criteria for undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which students who wish to join IITs need to take.
