Interior parts of State experience heavy showers
It was a big respite for several parts of the State that were reeling under the spell of Agni Natchatiram as they experienced heavy rains on Saturday.

Padalur in Perambalur district topped the chart with 13 cm followed by Vedasanthur (Dindigul) and Aravakurichi (Karur) 11 each.
Following is the amount of rainfall (in cm) recorded in various parts of the State: Paramathivelur - 8, Vazhapadi and Krishnagiri – 6 each and Tirupur, Coimbatore, Theni, Puthukottai, Tiruchirappally and Vellore also received good spells during the same period.
The Regional Meteorological Centre has forecast of light to moderate rain or thundershowers at a few places over all the interior districts of Tamil Nadu as well as the coastal parts of the state, besides Puduchery for May 8.
