Fulfil promises to people, says Narayanasamy
AICC general secretary and former union minister V Narayanasamy on Friday asserted that the leaders of the Congress-DMK combine should function unitedly to fulfil the promises given to the people during the elections.

Speaking at a function organised to flag off the 21st Rajiv Jyothi Yatra near the Gandhi statue on the beach road here, Narayanasamy said that the Jyothi Yatra from Karnataka was reaching Puducherry every year on behalf of the INTUC.
"It was Rajiv and Sonia who gave prominence to women in local bodies and it is our duty to fulfil the dreams of Rajiv Gandhi,’’ he said adding that 33 per cent reservation for women must be given to women in parliament and state assemblies. He said the people voted the Congress-DMK combine to power putting faith on it.
They were fed up in the N R Congress government as the Chief Minister N Rangasamy failed to fulfil any of the 167 promises made. Congress had given several promises to the people during this election and the leaders should function without any difference of opinion to fulfil the promises.
