Those retiring are: A Navaneethakrishnan, AW Rabi Bernard and PH Paul Manoj Pandian of the AIADMK, KP Ramalingam and S Thangavelu of the DMK and former Union Minister Sudarsana Natchiappan of the Congress.
The AIADMK has 134 members in the Assembly and could easily win the remaining four seats.
The notification will be issued on May 24 and the last date for filing of nominations is May 31.
The scrutiny will take place on June 1 and the last date for withdrawals is June 3.
Polling, if necessary, will be conducted on June 11 from 9 am to 4 pm and the results of the election will be announced the same day.
