Sagayam holds talks with officials

Sagayam, who had reached Madurai on Thursday, reached his office located at the Old Ramanathapuram Collector office on Friday morning. He avoided media persons waiting for him and directly went for the meeting.

Sources claimed that the meeting was convened to discuss the legal formalities and the extra documents which needed to be submitted to the high court at the next hearing of the granite scam case on June 6. He will continue his meeting with the officials on Saturday, sources claimed.

In September 2014, the Madras High Court appointed a one-man commission under Sagayam to investigate the loss in the granite scam, and after a thorough investigation, Sagayam submitted his report to the court in December, 2015. He had pegged the loss at Rs 65,000 crore to the exchequer.
