Colourful start to Ooty flower show
The three-day annual flower show, a major tourist attraction during the month-long summer festival in Ooty, was off to a beautiful start on Friday.

The 120th Flower Show has on display as many as 35 new varieties of Dalia, along with other major flowers, in the sprawling and picturesque government botanical gardens.
Over four lakh flowers, including from foreign countries, are arranged in more than 1,500 pots at the three-day show. A floral replica of Chennai Central Station, with a length of 68 feet and a sparrow couple made in flower are the main attractions of the show, which draws thousands of tourists from across the country every year.
