As many as 190 students have a cut-off of 199 marks and above. Last year, there were 278 candidates in this category. Surprisingly, the cut-off for ST students has drastically decreased to 181.50 marks this year from 185.75 last academic year.

The Director of Medical Education sources said the marginal drop in cut-off was due to a fewer number of centum scorers in Physics. A statement from the directorate said the counselling for special categories, including persons with special abilities, sports quota and others, would be held from Monday and general counselling would start from Tuesday.
