Arrest warrant against ex-Speaker cancelled
Tirunelveli Court which issued warrant against Palayamkottai MLA TPM Mohideen Khan had cancelled the arrest warrant as he appeared in the Court, on Monday.

Madurai
Mohideen Khan appeared in front of Judge Muthukrishnan at Additional Sessions Court at Tirunelveli and claimed that he could not appear in the Court on June 23 as there was assembly session going on and hence Court had issued arrest warrant against him.
Even after that he could not appear in the case as Lawyers had boycotted the Court. Only today he could appear in the Court and had pleaded to cancel the arrest warrant issued against him. After hearing the plea Judge cancelled the arrest warrant issued against him and posted the next hearing on July 27.
It is worth remembering that Mohideen Khan had spoken ill about Chief Minister, J Jayalalithaa, at a public meeting held at Thalayuthu in Tirunelveli district on March 16, 2013, on the occasion of DMK Treasurer, MK Stalin’s, birthday and based on the speech a defamation case was filed against him by Public Prosecutor Sivalingamuthu.
