13 students of Ariyalur school sacked for clash
As many as 13 students of a government higher secondary school, involved in group clashes in separate incidents, were dismissed as per the recommendations of the disciplinary committee and headmasters.

According to reports, on Monday two students from Kuruchipalayam exchanged blows over a seat while travelling in a TNSTC bus to school. Soon four students from Class 11 and two students from Class 12 joined them and started assaulting each other. In the scuffle, a few students sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, on receiving information about the incident, RDO Rajagopalan called on the CEO N Marimuthu and both the officials visited the school and conducted an inquiry. Later, based on the recommendations of disciplinary committee as well as the headmaster of the school, the students involved in the fight were dismissed from the school.
Transfer certificates were given to all six students. In a similar incident a few days ago, on June 30, four Class 11 students and three Class 12 students from Government Higher Secondary School, Senthuri engaged in a quarrel. An inquiry was held by the CEO N Marimuthu and later, all the seven students were dismissed and issued transfer certificates. Villagers said the clash between the boys, belonging to different castes, was contained after village elders intervened and pacified them.
