Police claimed the contract worker at Madurai Govt Rajaji Hospital, Palpandi was the cause of the death of Rajendra Prasad (18). Rajendra died due to negligence at Madurai GRH on June 2 as Palpandi had delayed the admission process by 20 minutes.
A case was filed against him based on a complaint from Resident Medical Officer of the Govt Medical College. Police added that two more contract workers, Chitra and Poopandi were booked in the case but are absconding and would be arrested soon.
Rajendra’s father Ganapathy had earlier filed a case claiming he had lost his son for refusing to bribe Palpandi, for a stretcher at the GRH.
