Speaking on the sidelines of a seminar on development of Tamil e-books at the University on Monday, TNOU vice-chancellor Prof M Bhaskaran said that the university would implement e-governance online for student services, including student admission (online application), payment of fees, allotment of study centre, publication of results, etc.
“Currently our students can pay their fees online, once we launch e-governance online from the coming year’s calendar year admission in December this year, we can provide all services online to students. With this, a student needs to come to the university only for convocation, as all other service will be available online. Our university’s objective is to provide education to all, anytime and anywhere,” the vice-chancellor said.
The student will get SMSs from the university alerting them about the fee payment day, commencement of exam and declaration of results.
