It is going to be a wet weekend, assures MeT

The rains will come as a relief from the hot and humid weather conditions of the last few days. Weather experts say that it is likely to get better soon. “It usually gets sultry before it rains. We can expect thunderstorms in the coming days,” says K. Srikanth, a weather blogger. 

The meteorological department also confirmed that certain parts of the state will receive showers in the coming days. “There are indications of a cyclonic formation to the South of India, which will lead to light showers in certain parts of the states. 

However, on Sunday and Monday, many parts in the state will receive moderate rainfall. Only a few coastal areas will receive heavy rains,” said a representative from the meteorological department. However, the rains are unlikely to last long and people need not panic, said experts.
