Justice PN Prakash before whom the counsel for the victims who were attacked by the Police at Chengam sought for their discharge, directed their transfer to Tiruvannamalai District Head Quarters Hospital at the cost of State immediately and insisted that they can be discharged only on the advice of the doctors at Tiruvannamalai.

The case relates to the brutal attack by police on a family of three in full public view in Tiruvannamalai district.

The brutal attack went viral on social media leading to the police drawing severe flak for their high handed and inhuman behaviour.

Earlier, the High Court while passing orders on a plea moved by one of the victim seeking the suspension and arrest of all the three policemen, directed the transfer of all the three victims to Government Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital at Chennai for better treatment.

The court had also recorded the Government submission that an RDO enquiry was in progress and action would follow based on the report.
