Cops get leads in Mannadi bizman murder
An iron shop merchant residing at Krishnan Koil Street, Mannadi, was found murdered in his house on Tuesday morning.

Police said Akbar (54), who was staying on the third floor of his apartment, was found dead in his bed room with his neck slashed with a sharp weapon. He had two other cut injuries on his body. Akbar’s family members found him dead when they checked on him late in the morning and alerted the police. Police said Akbar, who runs an iron materials shop, had closed the shop early on Monday and left for home. The family members checked on him as he did not come out of his bedroom in the morning.
Police said no valuables had been lost from the house of Akbar and suspect some known persons’ hands behind the murder. The assailants might have entered the house during night hours and killed him. Police said Akbar and his wife used to have frequent bickerings as he suspected his wife of having an affair.
Police have collected CCTV footage from the house and also from nearby areas. Police said they have got some strong leads and the accused would be arrested soon. Police said suspect a domestic issue could be the motive behind the murder.
