    Relationship with Bedi cordial, says Pondy CM

    A day after Lt Governor Kiran Bedi said she would quit her post alleging “lack of cooperation” to her Clean Puducherry Mission, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Monday claimed that his government’s relations with her were “cordial” and they were “fully cooperating”.

    “The government is inclined to provide transparent and corruption free administration. There is full-fledged cooperation from officials and employees (to Bedi),” he told reporters here. Bedi and the Puducherry government have common goals, aimed at creating a clean and development-oriented Puducherry through a cordial relationship, he said and added, “Our ministry aims at having a Union Territory with full-fledged development in every sector.” 

    Irked by “lack of cooperation” to her ‘Clean Puducherry Mission’, Bedi had on Sunday said she would quit her post and leave the Union territory if there is no improvement in the situation. Bedi, who had been making week-end visits as part of the Swachh Puducherry Mission, gave the vent to her frustration at a function.
