Speaking at the All Departments Review Meeting held at Madurai Collectorate, he said gone were the days when everyone looked up to Kerala when it was about education. “In the last five years owing to higher allocation of fund for education the higher education standard has drastically improved in Tamil Nadu,” he said.
The schemes of Tamil Nadu government are aimed at increasing the percentage further higher and the officials must take pains in implementing the schemes for the benefit of all, he said.

He also said that Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has announced a slew of welfare measures under Rule 110 and it is the duty of the officials to implement the schemes.
Earlier, Collector K Veera Raghav Rao, in his inaugural address, said that officials should work tirelessly to uplift the poor and should implement the government schemes without any hesitation. They must also keep away favouritism and nepotism away from work.
