MS Dhoni’s fan girl bakes sweet treat for her idol

It is not uncommon to see fans flock in droves to catch a glimpse of one of India’s most celebrated cricketer, MS Dhoni. The scene at a five-star hotel in the city wasn’t any different on Friday as MSD arrived to promote his biopic, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. Fans made sure they positioned themselves strategically near the elevator in the hotel to catch a glimpse of their hero. Dhoni, with a dozen bouncers in tow, was visibly surprised to see fans waiting. 

“What are you all doing here?” he said flashing his trademark smile. But he took time off and allowed the enthusiastic fans to take selfies with him. Then Pooja rushed with a pack of cupcakes, specially prepared for the cricketer. A surprised Dhoni was overwhelmed by her ‘sweet gesture’. When Pooja put forth that he would love the cupcakes, he joked, “If I love them who would eat them with a smile?” Pooja, who also has a tattoo ‘Mahi 7’ on her forearm said this was her fifth meeting with Dhoni and she loved to be referred to as the tattoo girl by him. 

“This is the fifth time I am meeting him in quick succession. The excitement keeps increasing every time I meet him. He greets us every time, smiles and this melts my heart. I am proud to be his fan and Dhoni knows me as ‘the tattoo girl’. What more can I ask for!” exclaimed Pooja.
