Man detained for creating ruckus at news channel's office
A man who barged into the office of a private news channel office on Kamarajar Road in Royapuram with a machete and damaged the furniture was secured on Tuesday evening.

The man was identified as Rajesh Kumar of Coimbatore, who claimed that he worked at Coimbatore government hospital. He alleged that his father had a dispute with the channel's managing director.
Police reached the spot within minutes. After a distress call was made and Rajesh Kumar was taken to the Royapuram police station for interrogation.
Police suspect that Rajesh Kumar could be under the influence of alcohol or drug and collected his blood sample for medical examination.
A video of him threatening and abusing the channel staff went viral on August.
