Home Décor: Nursery ideas that work for both boys and girls
Doing up your nursery is a challenge for most. So just think of ideas, themes and colours that spell ‘happy’ and everything will fall into place. Animals, stars and bright patterns are just a few examples of what works. Here are some themes that are easy to execute and provide a joyful space for your little one:

Chennai
Neutral Nursery: A white, beige or grey nursery looks extremely elegant and gives a serene and peaceful feel. Play with tone on tone patterns like florals or geometrics to add some character to the room. Soft white throws and poufs always complement. Keep it simple.
Sleeping under the stars: The ceiling is one of the most important parts of your decor, given that it’s pretty much the only thing your toddler sees initially. A simple blue sky with stars makes such a fabulous impact to your room. With a blue dominating your ceiling, its best to keep the rest of the room a white or a beige. Add some glow in the dark stars to add some drama at night!

Tropical Themes: Trees and birds are always a fun theme for a nursery. Use a tree inspired wallpaper or just paint the wall with trees to make you feel you are in the middle of a forest. Pick soft shades of green and greys so it doesn’t hit the eye. Add accents of nature inspired cushions.

Animal Adventures: Animal prints and patterns are always a favourite for children’s rooms. It’s colourful, bright and definitely add a lot of ‘happy’ to your room! You can use animal pattern curtains or sheers. Add animal shapes cushions on the furniture. Keep the rest of the neutral, so it’s not and overkill!

Pattern play: If you are not a fan of baby prints, then bold patterns like stripes, checks and various geometric patterns are a great alternative. The chevron is the most popular amongst them today. Pick bright yellows, blues and greens and offset them neutrals like beige or grey and you have a winner!
