As Chennai Super Kings played their first home game against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday, composer Kumar Narayanan’s CSK Gethu Maamu with over 3 lakh views, was trending on social media.

“My version of CSK anthem Gethu Maamu is not only about celebrating CSK’s comeback as I never felt it is one. While CSK was away from IPL, there were hardly any viewers. This is about how CSK is larger than life team and how MS Dhoni’s presence makes it even more special. Over the last decade, most of the Tamilians have also taken pride in calling CSK their home team.”
On the movie front, Kumar’s Ethirmarai was recently released on Netflix. “It is a thriller for which I have composed the music. I have also signed another couple of films, which will be announced by the makers soon.”
