India’s leading art-based education company Happy Cow, Evam Entertainment’s children education division, has come up with an initiative called ‘Bring your child to work’.

Cinthoorika Sambamurthy, Head-Education Division of Happy Cow, says, “Most of the corporates and other offices do not have a policy of not to bring kids to the work space. But often the biggest challenge is how to manage the children for eight or nine hours, while their parent(s) is at work. That’s when we came up with this idea of ‘Bring your child to work’. Moreover, the summer holidays have started and many working parents are having a tough time.”

The talent team of Happy Cow would engage the children (below 15 years) for six hours through various activities like storytelling, clown shows, puppet making, juggling and balloon sculpting classes.

“Our aim is to stimulate skill and creativity of the child and our modules are designed just to do that. As part of our training, we also help develop the child’s standards of speech, communication, presentation and performance skills,” she adds.

So, how does it work? “A group of employees (who have kids) or employee engagement team can get in touch with us. Once we get the approximate number of children coming in, we can plan our activities accordingly. We will take care of end-to-end logistics and the parents needn’t worry about anything during those six hours. It would be a safe and fun learning experience for your children,” explains Cinthoorika.

Happy Cow takes children’s education seriously and uses theatre and art to make a difference in their lives. “We are also planning to stage plays that are socially relevant. For eg, a play that would convey a ‘good touch, bad touch’ message, safety with respect to a child’s online presence, etc.”
