Trump welcomes ‘Melanie’ home, not Melania
Donald Trump welcomed his wife Melania to the White House after she underwent kidney treatment. But he went wrong at the basics. He spelt her name wrong. He tweeted: “Great to have our incredible first lady back home in the White House. Melanie is feeling and doing really well. Thank you for all of your prayers and best wishes!” He was quick to correct his mistake but Twitter never forgives. Reaction to the original tweet flowed in, a tweet from London School of Economics academic Brian Klass said, “’Melanie.’ Just...wow.” This was not the first time Trump misspelled a name. Remember “covfefe”?
Preity cheers as Mumbai misses the spot
In a video posted on Twitter, actress Preity Zinta seems to be mouthing, “I am just very happy that Mumbai is knocked out, very happy.” The clip, without an audio, was posted by a Twitter user. Defending champions Mumbai Indians did not make it to the playoffs after being beaten by Delhi Daredevils by 11 runs in a do-or-die match on Sunday. In the ultimate group stage match of the tournament, the KXIP were knocked out after they lost to CSK by five wickets in what was their must-win. After the CSK vs Kings XI match, team owner Zinta tweeted her disappointment and wished best for the teams going into the playoffs. CSK and the SRH will face-off in the first qualifier on 22 May.
