Trending in TN: Dhoni trolls Manjrekar in IPL final and Kerala’s #FuelChallenge goes viral

The toss is probably the most uninteresting part of a cricket match but MS Dhoni can make even that entertaining. Sanjay Manjrekar conducted the toss on Sunday alongside match referee Andy Pycroft and the two captains – Dhoni and Williamson. Dhoni tossed the coin and it rolled down far away. Manjrekar followed the coin and in the meantime, Dhoni devised a prank. Williamson called tails but Manjrekar probably did not hear him over the ear-splitting noise from a packed house in the stadium. The result was heads. Manjrekar, “You called heads.” Dhoni, “No, he called tails.”Manjrekar, “Yes, you called heads.” Dhoni: “No, he called tails!” MSD finally clarified that he is the one who had won.

Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore had launched the #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign last week. He invited political leaders and public figures to post their ‘fitness’ videos on social media and urged them to nominate others as well. This is probably what inspired a bunch of protesters in Kerala. Taking a cue from the protests over fuel prices, a group of people in Kerala did push-ups outside a petrol pump. The photo of their unusual protest immediately went viral. The photo also shows a banner of the Indian Youth Congress challenging the Prime Minister to take up the #FuelChallenge!
