‘Abuse us, criticise us, but please come to watch the Indian national team play’: Chhetri
Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri made a request on his social media accounts, asking fans to come support the men in blue at the stadiums at every opportunity they get. He posted a video of a passionate prayer to the Indian fans of European football, “Abuse us, criticise us, but please come to watch the Indian national team play.” The skipper scored his third international hat-trick in-front of a near empty Mumbai Football Arena (MFA) stands. “To all of you who are fans of big European clubs and support European clubs with so much passion and sometimes you guys think that the level is not the same, so why do you waste your time? Agreed, the level is not the same, not even close but with our desire and determination, we will try our best to make your time worth,” Chhetri said while thanking the few fans who showed up.
Human chain saves dog swept away in flash floods from drowning in Sri Lanka
Dogs have been known to be man’s best friend for eons, and there have been more than one instance where the furry best friend has rescued a human being. The story of a deaf dog that kept a three-year-old lost girl safe or that of a lady who jumped into a freezing lake to save a dog has done its rounds in the social media. It’s time for yet another story. A video of a group of five people, who decided to create a human chain to save a drowning pup, has come to light. The incident took place in Sri Lanka, where the dog was swept away by a flash flood. People noticed the animal and instantly decided to lend a helping hand to catch hold of the canine. The video was released by Animal Planet on its Facebook page.
