Teaser of Vetrimaaran's long awaited gangster flick 'Vada Chennai' out
The teaser of the long awaited gangster theme flick about North Chennai was released by actor Dhanush on twitter.

Chennai
"One step closer towards my dream project. My sincere thanks to all my fans for all the wishes and blessings. My pillars of strength. Love you all.", Dhanush tweeted.
'Vada Chennai' happens to be the third time Vetrimaaran and Dhanush have collaborated for a gangster themed film after Polladhavan and Aadukalam. The film had been in doldrums since its initial announcement in 2009, formal announcement in 2011, filming in 2012 and was temporarily shelved with pre-production delays including Dhanush's film commitments and Visaaranai getting nominated for various film fests.
The one-minute teaser gives a glimpse of 30 years into the life of a gangster’s life in North Chennai likely between the seventies and eighties with Dhanush wielding the knife besides showcasing various characters of the film.
In the teaser, a strong voice over by Dhanush from the middle gives a clarion call “This isn’t a fight that ends with the death of one person. Is it? Whether we win or lose, we must fight. If we don’t fight back, they’ll continue to hunt us down. It might be filled with huts or garbage, but this is our land. We must defend it,” sets the tone for the 'Gangsta' movie that is likely to be released this September.
The film features an ensemble cast of Dhanush, Kishore Kumar, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Pavan, Andrea Jeremiah, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ameer. Music for the film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Studios.
