Priya Bhavani in Vikram’s next

Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar is on a roll. Her last film Monster, is one of the fewTamil films that became a commercially viableventure this year.

Earlier this week there were reports that the actress has signed Indian 2 in which she will share screen space with Kamal Haasan and will be seen throughout the film along with Siddharth. The latest is that Priya has recently signed Ajay Gnanamuthu’s upcoming film with Vikram that is all set to go on floors soon.

A source in the know told DTNext, “Priya will join the sets of the film from September after wrapping up the shooting schedule of Indian 2 in August.” Ajay Gnanamuthu-Vikram project will be shot across Europe and Ghana. The film will have its music by AR Rahman and dialogues by Vijayendra Prasad.

Priya also has Indru Netru Naalai 2 with Vishnu Vishal and Mafia with Arun Vijay helmed by Karthick Naren in shooting stages. Meanwhile, Indian 2 is also expected to have Vidyut Jammwal and Aishwarya Rajesh in important roles. Sources close to the film’s unit stated that Vidyut Jammwal has already started learning kalaripayatu for his part and will be joining the shoot from September. Indian 2’s shooting schedule is likely to resume on August 19. An official confirmation on the same is expected to be made by the makers soon.
