The incident happened in March 31 this year when the infant accidentally fell into a 90-metre (300 feet) deep narrow well.

Shortly after, Chinese emergency services were pressed into rescue operations. After a delay of half an hour, fire-fighters who rushed to the scene found it unrealistic to rescue the boy by going down the well given its narrow opening (11-inches wide).

It took an additional 120 minutes before he was successfully rescued.

Sensors were used to monitor the child's condition. The rescuers pump oxygen into the hole and used a life-detector to pinpoint the boy's position which placed him at 40 feet down the well.

As family members attempted to comfort the child, rescuers let down a rope with a loop at one end. But they found it hard to lasso the boy, who was stuck with only one arm up. Rescue authorities instructed the boy to put his hand into the loop.

After several attempts, the toddler's right wrist and arm were tied and pulled out by several men.
