IPL 2019: KKR rake up 218 runs
In what looked like a storm of runs Kolkata Knight Riders piled up a whopping 218 runs at the end of the stipulated 20 overs in the sixth IPL match against Kings XI Punjab.

Sunil Naraine in the beginning laid the foundation for the onslaught when he smashed 24 runs off just 9 deliveries. Later on Nitish Rana 63(34) and Robin Uthappa 67(50*) added to the run flow. Then mighty Andre Russell took off from where Nitish Rana left and bludgeoned the bowlers all over the field rather than across. In his blitzkrieg knock of 48 that came off just 17 deliveries he had 5 hits that went not just over the fence but deep into the stands.
Russell was almost done when in the 17th over Mohammed Shami bowled him only to learn to the horror of his teammates that there were only three fielders inside the circle and the delivery was given a no-ball. Andre Russell took full advantage of this respite and went all out on all the bowlers.
Thanks to these blitzkrieg innings KKR raked up a mammoth total of 218 runs setting up a herculean task for the KXIP.
