India is facing a severe economic slowdown, hence, it could take 'any step' under this pressure and may launch a 'false flag operation', a Pakistani minister said on Friday.

In a statement, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said: "Graph of India's economy is constantly declining and it is under pressure. Hence, India can take any step including 'false flag operation' to divert its attention from it".

Qureshi said that the US' Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission has heard the Kashmir issue. "Expressing its concern over the situation the Commission has asked the US State Department to contact India," claimed Qureshi.

The Foreign Minister said that the Commission has also expressed concern over the Indian Supreme Court's Ayodhya verdict, saying that Hindu extremism is increasing in India which is resulting in problems for the minorities.

Qureshi said, "Coming under increasing international pressure  on the Kashmir issue, the BJP-led Indian government is under psychological pressure. Its economic graph is also declining. Therefore, India may do something, it can do anything including a 'false flag operation'".
